Signals and Telegraph - real and prototype

Banner Repeater

Postby Richard Oldfield » Thu Mar 11, 2010 9:17 am

Hi,

Due to prototype restricted sighting (recreated on the layout), there was a banner repeater installed in rear of the Mostyn Down Home signal. We would very much like to build a working version to complete the signalling installations on Mostyn.

Has anyone on this group built a working banner repeater or can someone point me to an article?

Cheers,

Richard

I'm afraid I'm not going to be much help here, but if you're talking about the banner repeater that's like a circular clock case with a centrally pivoted black bar, I'm sure I've seen such a model described in the press, probably, maybe, possibly in the Constructor. I doubt that I'll have it in my collection of clippings but I'll take a look on the off chance.

Hi Neil,

Thanks for the offer of help. I've just contacted someone from the Signalling Record Society who's going to try and come up with a drawing.

Cheers,

Richard
