I have been working a Deans Sidings kit of a GWR County Tank
these kits are nice & quick to build as most of the work is done for you with the resing body which only needs the detail adding

I have got the kit built & started painting the body

did you make the chassis for your county tank or find a suitable one ready to run?
it looks like a county hornby 4-4-0 chassis would fit it :)

it's been a sometime since I have built a 009 loco

So tonight I have soldered up a Chivers RC26 kit using the new farish class 08 chassis

1st I need to change the footplate to fit the new chassis so starting with this
ImageIMG_20170726_101441 by brian mosby, on Flickr

& once I had removed some of the coupling blocks & opened out the hole giving me this
ImageIMG_20170726_185058 by brian mosby, on Flickr
ImageIMG_20170726_185102 by brian mosby, on Flickr

I then used the 2 holes in the chassis for alignment & 2 12ba nuts & bolts for mounting I soldered the nuts to the foot plate
ImageIMG_20170726_184439 by brian mosby, on Flickr

I then soldered up the rest of the kit using a 25w Iron & low melt solder plus carrs red flux

ImageIMG_20170726_190924 by brian mosby, on Flickr

& soldering from the inside I fixed the lamp & exhorts
