Auld kit designs do not mean bad results...

This beastie would be on its last legs and has not seen a banana in some time
This Ratio kit has had replacement buffers from ABS, a Masokits set of brake levers & MJT vacuum pipes.
No steam heat pipe was visible on the photo I used for reference.
The tie-bar needs replacing as the Evergreen stip just does not last - should have used nickel-silver in the first place :face:
The door bar and opening lever has also been replaced; the moulded originals just did not look right.
Picky yes but worth it...

Another decidedly tasteful batch of updates Iain - right up my street! You're not wrong there's a lot of life in these Ratio kits, I've got a couple to do for Roath as they knocked around South Wales as fitted heads. Quite fancy doing one on 8-shoe clasps although I seem to remember they need a bit of extra work on the bodywork strapping.

Have you got any plans to do some 1/264s from the old Wrenn body? I've not run the calipers over it but it looks spot on after a little tidying up. In true Blue Peter style....

Maybe.. :scratch
Once I can get some drawings its on the probables list.
Failing that with the Wrenn body its maybe time for some scrathy-butchery nonsense.
