Wagons full of rubbish...

Some items for use in a rake of wagons which will represent a spoil train....
More skannky decrepitude to trundle around the "Beastie..."

Image

The first one is a Cambrian Models C107 SR (Diag.1375) 5 plank Open Wagon.
This design was not just built for the Southern Railway but indeed, the LNER had a number produced to this basic design under various diagram numbers. Add to this, the diagram, 1/034, built by BR to this basic design and a jolly good time is envisaged… The sprung w-irons and from Bill Bedfords range and the buffers are from LMS, Dave Franks' buffers are the best around I think and are all I use. The one piece floor moulding has been used, the solebars having been thinned so the spring units go in. ;)

The other two images are of a Parkside Dundas PC02A BR (Diag.1/039, 1/044) 13 Ton Open Wagon.
Based on an LMS design, a whole gamut of variations in underframes and brakes exist here. Indeed, the LMS built diagram was still in use in 1977 so I can logically produce a few dog-eared auld relics to go with the other pre-nationalisation beasties already being built for this "spoil train" project. MJT clasp brakes and LMS buffers are the details added so far...
And this beastie is not sprung or compensated

Iak,

lovely stuff. You cant beat those rag-bag rakes of wagons which were found in service so late in life :drool .
Will follow this with interest.

What else is proposed to form this set?

Medfits of various dog eared types together with more of these types.
A scabby brake van will also be produced.
